Make an Impact with Staging - Tips for Listing Your House

Are you getting ready to put your house on the market?  There are several things you can do inside and out to make your house look it’s very best to get it sold.  For curb appeal, you may need to do things like powerwashing , adding fresh mulch, and pops of color with flowers and a new welcome mat.  Stand across the street and take a long hard look at what a buyer would see walking up to the house and tackle the yard, paint the front door, or do whatever it takes to make it inviting.

You want to make an impact from the second they open the
door, so a warm and welcoming feeling should be invoked. This may require removing distractions like shoes by the front door, personal photos everywhere, pet odors, etc.  Buyers make up their mind in the first few seconds, so you’re better off having neutral paint colors and bring in color with art, pillows, rugs, etc and have the house pulled together with a design that appeals to the most number of buyers and highlights the best features of the house.
Also, the house needs to be cleaned like it’s never been cleaned before, de-cluttered and feel bright and airy so open up the blinds and let the natural light in.

Sound overwhelming?  Don’t know where to start?  Why not talk with a
professional Home Stager to help you prepare your house and guide you in the process.  When putting your house on the market, photos on the MLS are essential – so Home Staging, professional photography and the house reasonably priced –
a winning combination in today’s market.
